Vivien Sotiriou was a PhD student in the group, passing her PhD viva in 2020. Her PhD was on the effects of active and passive movement on prenatal joint morphogenesis. Before joining the group as a PhD student she completed her MSc in Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London in 2015. Her diploma thesis was on the development of the spinal column of embryos both in the absence and presence of fetal movements. In 2014, she graduated from the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of the National Technical University of Athens. Vivien is now working at a start-up in London.
