Hannah joined Prof Nowlan’s research group in January 2022 as a PhD student at University College Dublin, where she previously completed her undergraduate degree in Statistics. Her research involves analysing magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs) of children with Perthes hip disease in order to create a robust classification model. This will hopefully aid the evaluation of the disease’s’ severity and ultimately treatment decisions. She is supervised by Prof Nowlan, Prof Brendan Murphy in the UCD
School of Mathematics and Statistics, and Mr Connor Green, UCD & Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at CHI and the National Orthopaedic Hospital at Cappagh . Outside of academia, Hannah is an enthusiastic Scrabble player and loves to travel.
